Board of Directors
The Inside Sports Board of Directors is a nine member volunteer board dedicated to promoting, and sponsoring amateur athletics in our local communities. Our board includes prominent business leaders and community members committed to “Making a Difference.”
Inside Sports was created as a nonprofit, public benefit organization in 2001. It’s mission is to advance athletics and health in our community by providing indoor team sports programs for all ages. Inside Sports’ board leadership is actively moving toward this goal in several ways. The Board of Directors decided to respond to the community need offering our Futsal program. In December of 2001, Inside Sports initiated our highly successful Futsal1 program at the Samoa gym. The first year of the program saw over 600 people of all ages participating. A significant proportion of youth players are assisted by scholarship programs funded through local donors and foundations. Over the past eight years, participation numbers have increase steadily for youth and adult Futsal players. This successful experience indicates widespread interest in more programs and a larger facility.
All Inside Sports activities and programs are currently the responsibility of our volunteer Board of Directors which came together in response to the need for an indoor soccer venue. Board members include business owners, nonprofit and social agency leaders, athletes, parents and other community members who are committed to working hard to achieve our goal. Many hours of volunteer time and support are contributed to manage the Futsal League and move forward on our expansion plan.
